Hello! And welcome to the website! I am Greenery/jero from Finland. I've been very much into customizing dolls, since my very beginning in the bjd and doll hobby.
I'm very interested to try my hand at different things and styles so don't hesitate to ask me; I'm very versatile and learn fast. I'm very good at adapting my work according to my client's preferences. Materials: As for materials, I only use those that have been found safe to use also by other hobbyist: Rembrandt acrylics Acrylics flow improver Rembrandt pastels Tamiya gloss Army Painter anti shine mat varnish for spray coating (Mr. Super Clear for DD and other dolls that don't like AP) Cleaning: pure isopropyl alcohol (not the same as rubbing alcohol -> rubbing alcohol contains acetone, isopropyl is very gentle on the resin and doesn't whiten it or make it fragile, it is colourless and scentless) Additive mods: Milliput (not removable) Water based glue (removable) About Army Painter anti shine mat varnish: Hey, you might wonder why I don't use more commonly used MSC or some of the other spray sealants but it is quite simple; I've just gotten used to Army Painter spray and it is easily accessible for me. Army Painter gives nice matte and waterproof surface which doesn't whiten out the tan or other darker coloured resins. There is no problems with the safety either. It's more widely used in the miniature hobby where resin is common material too. Of course, I have confirmed from the manufacturer that it surely is safe to use on resin. It has worked well for other bjd hobbyist on longer term too and not just me. If you have any questions about the materials I use, or anything else to the matter, please do ask; I'm happy to answer. ; ) Schedule: As for the work time frame; I will try and keep my turnaround time currently as 2-3 weeks. First, you'll contact me about the commission, if you're not completely sure what you would like to have, we can discuss it together and find the best solution for you. Same goes for the shipping. When we have agreed on everything you'll need to send me the to-be-customized doll parts. When the parcel arrives, I will check their condition and give them a free basic cleaning. If there is remnants of previous coating I need to give them the isopropyl treatment to ensure that the new coating will stick. Before the final coating and the gloss, I will get the work approved with you. Depending on the complexity of the commission, I might do more midway checks. After I'm finished, I will wrap everything in to a safe package and send it by your preferred shipping method and inform you. I will send the doll parts back when the whole payment has arrived. Recasts/Fake/Copy/Bootleg Dolls: I will not work on any recast pieces/dolls. |
